Community Outreach
Vakils has always been a socially responsible organisation. Besides taking proactive measures to provide employment to disabled persons, the company also works with several non-profit organisations.
VAKILS, FEFFER & SIMONS (VFS)
Founded in 1994, the VCare Foundation fights cancer on multiple fronts. It offers a wide range of services that are free of charge and available in communities through hospitals and centres. VCare helps more than 4,000 patients annually.
Vakils supports VCare on a continuous basis. Every Vakils greeting card carries the message of VCare. Furthermore, a part of the proceeds of the sale of our greeting cards is donated to the corpus annually, which is used for providing support to underprivileged cancer patients.
Book Outreach Programmes
Through the Book Outreach Programme, we support poorly resourced schools and organisations by providing appropriate reading material. We help set up reading rooms as well as organise book donations by partnering with various individuals. We also offer support and training to the curators of the reading rooms to enhance childrens’ reading experience.
Free Braille Paper
Vakils provides free braille paper to visually impaired students in the city of Mumbai.
